Regular 7pm Meeting, August 8th:

As schools get ready for the 2012-2013 year, things to take into account when family members prepare their children to start the school year will be discussed. Our walk team, Liver Lifers, will review fundraising and activities. Our annual LiverFest summer picnic will be Sunday, August 19, 2012 at 1pm; this year being held at Norton Park in Plainville; details being finalized at the meeting.

Future 2013 meetings:

  • September 12:Dr. Wu is so kind as to present to the group "News in the Treatment of HCV." Liver Lifers walk team will participate in ALF Liver Life Walk 2012 on Sept. 23rd.
  • October 10:Join us with our HCV advocacy discussions since last meeting. Results of Liver Life Walk 2012 will also be reviewed.
  • November 10: Thanksgiving appreciation activities TBA.
  • December 12:Besides the Facilitator(s) annual election, join our holiday celebrations.
  • January 9, 2013: Bring in the New Year with us, hearing about the HCV basics and making plans for 2013.
  • February 13, 2013: Topic TBD.

    • Prospects for 2012-2013 meetings:
    Transplant surgeon, attorneys, psychiatry professional, massage therapy education and treatment experiences are some of the ideas on the table.
