July 2012
Regular 7pm Meeting, July 11th:
Congratulations go to Rick (recently completed treatment) and Kim for completing Train The Trainer day-long education sessions in Windsor. Join us in celebrating our Independence by joining facilitators with contacting local resources to promote HCV advocacy. See link at left for World Hepatitis Day on the 28th. The group will finalize plans for the twelveth annual Support Group LiverFest.
Future 6 months of 2012 Meetings
August 8: As schools get ready for the 2012-2013 year, things to take into account when family members prepare to start will be discussed. Our walk team, Liver Lifers, will review fundraising and activities. Our annual Liver Fest summer picnic details will be finalized.
September 12:Dr. Wu is so kind as to present to the group "News in the Treatment of HCV." Liver Lifers walk team will participate in ALF Liver Life Walk 2012 on Sept. 23rd.
October 10: Results of Liver Life Walk 2012 will be reviewed. Oct. 2012 Fall Speaker TBA.
November 10: Thanksgiving appreciation activities TBA.
December 12:Besides the Facilitator(s) annual election, join our holiday celebrations.
January 9, 2013: Bring in the New Year with us, hearing about the HCV basics and making plans for 2013.
Prospects for 2012-2013 meetings:
Transplant surgeon, attorneys, psychiatry professional, massage therapy education and treatment experiences are some of the ideas on the table.
