Regular 7pm Meeting, May 9, 2012:
Highlighted will be Hepatitis Awareness Month. The membership will also discuss National Viral Hepatitis Testing Day on May 19th.
Future 6 months of 2012 Meetings
June 13: Finalize plans for annual Support Group LiverFest.
July 11: Celebrate our Independence by joining facilitators in writing local resources to promote HCV advocacy.
August 8: As schools get ready for the 2012-2013 year, things to take into account when family members prepare to start will be discussed. Our walk team, Liver Lifers, will review fundraising and activities.
September 12:Dr. Wu is so kind as to present to the group "News in the Treatment of HCV." Liver Lifers walk team will participate in ALF Liver Life Walk 2012 on Sept. 23rd.
October 10: Results of Liver Life Walk 2012 will be reviewed. Oct. 2012 Fall Speaker TBA.
November 10: Thanksgiving appreciation activities TBA.
Prospects for 2012 meetings:
Transplant surgeon, attorneys, psychiatry professional, massage therapy education and treatment experiences are some of the ideas on the table.
