Regular Meeting on May 14th: May 2008 is Hepatitis Awareness Month and our 7-9 P.M. meeting will not only center around hepatitis and how to improve liver health, but will serve as a forum for 'AM I NUMBER 12'. A letter-writing opportunity to help ALF raise town and state awareness will be available. May 19th is the first annual World Hepatitis Day. See links at left for some info available on these.
Future 2008 Meetings
June 11th will be a roundtable discussion, including updating the group on the Support Groups' Annual LiverFest '08 Summer Picnic.
July 9 and August 13th is open forum roundtable discussions.
We are fortunate that on Sept 10th we will have Dr. Wu join us to speak to the group on some emerging issues and prospects. On the weekend after our meeting, 9am on Sunday, Sept. 14th, join us helping the American Liver Foundation Liver Life Walk 2008 at Rentschler Field in East Hartford.
October 8th will be roundtable discussions and November 12th is TBD. Bring nominees for the position of facilitator(s) to be voted upon at the beginning of the December 2008 meeting.
December 10th, after a brief facilitator vote, will be the Annual Holiday party where we plan LIVERing it up. Join us for a new twist on our holiday festivities.Prospects for additional meetings:
A Naturopathic Doctor, Connecticut Attorneys, psychiatry professional, a medical presentation on HIV/HCV co-infection issues and a relaxational meeting, especially targeting Relapsers and Non-Responders (RNR) using alternative therapies.
