Regular Meeting on June 13th:

June 13th will be a roundtable discussion, including updating the group on the Annual LiverFest '07 Summer Picnic and ALF educational and LiverWalk fundraising efforts.


Future Meetings

LiverFest '07 POSTPONED until 1:00pm on Sunday, July 15th at Hubbard Park in Meriden. Join us to celebrate our annual picnic.

July 11 is currently open forum roundtable discussions.

On August 9th Irene O'Brien of the Wallingford VNA, former hepatitis C group facilitator and Licensed Clinical Social Worker, agreed to discuss available resources for patients and families, such as how the public social security administration system may be put to work for patients, in particular the TITLE XIX grants to states for medical assistance programs.

On Sept 12th, Dr. Wu will be speaking to the group about new UConn trial information and about the progression of drugs in the pipeline.

Join CHCgroup in raising funds for liver diseases and hepatitis education by participating in ALF Liverwalk Football Walk for Liver Wellness on September 23, 2007 at Rentschler Field.

October and November is TBD, also awaiting confirmation; bring nominees for the position of facilitator(s) to be voted upon at the beginning of the December 2007 meeting.

December 12th, after a brief facilitator vote, will be the Annual Holiday party where we plan LIVERing it up. Join our "newbie" and more "experienced" members in holiday festivities.


Prospects for additional 2007 meetings:

A Naturopathic Doctor, Connecticut Attorneys, psychiatry professional and a medical presentation on HIV/HCV co-infection issues.
