December 2006
Regular Meeting on December 13th:
Following closing of ballots and brief facilitator election, the annual holiday PARTY promises to be quite the festive event, having the "oldies but goodies" members (as Barbara Todd calls long-standing members) rejoining us in celebration of those who have cleared the virus in 2006, to hear how all members have been doing in the last year and what plans are on the horizon for 2007. Simply pick up a snack on the way to joining our yuletide celebration.
Future Meetings
In January, and alternating months thereafter, we take a break from regular speaker meetings with the relaxing, informal, confidential group roundtable discussions.
In February 2007, Irene O'Brien, LCSW will discuss how the public assistance systems may be put to work for you.
On March 13, 2007, the group's second facilitator, Barbara Todd, offered to run the open forum 'round-table' style meeting for Marty, giving him a break.
April being National Donate Life Month, on the 11th will be speakers on transplantation.
May is National Hepatitis Awareness month.
Late June will be 'LiverFest 2007', our annual picnic.
Prospects for additional 2007 meetings:
A Naturopathic Doctor, Connecticut Attorneys, psychiatry professional and a medical presentation on HIV/HCV co-infection issues.
