Regular Meeting on May 10:
Our first 2006 roundtable open forum discussion. We look forward to be accompanied by Sharon Dellinger, APRN of Dr. Polio's office in Hartford. At the Wallingford's January meeting, Nurse Dellinger discussed New directions for Treatment of Hep C – Update From the International Conference on Liver Disease she attended in November.
Future Meetings
June 14, 2006 will be the second roundtable discussion of the year, including updating the group on the planning of the Support Groups' Annual LiverFest '06 Summer Picnic.
July 12, 2006 will be our third 2006 roundtable discussions where discussions will include an update on LiverFest '06 and discuss our role advocating liver diseases at the American Liver Foundation second annual Football Walk for Liver Wellness at East Hartford's Rentschler Field, Home of the UConn Huskies.
August 9, 2006 will be the culmination of our summer roundtable discussions and initial discussions will be the 2006-2007 meeting plans as well as beginning discussions about the 2007 Facilitator-Coordinator Election or renewal of the current group.
September 13, 2006 Dr. George Wu will be giving the group an "update on HBV"; bring your research and medical inquiries for this very informative and thoroughly enjoyable speaker and important topic.
Prospects for other 2006 meetings:
A Naturopathic Doctor, a Massage Therapist, Connecticut Attorneys, a medical presentation on HIV/HCV co-infection issues and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
