Regular Meeting on December 14th:
Marty and Adrian ran unopposed and thank the group for the vote of support of their 2006 CHCgroup facilitation.
An exceptional presentation by Dr. George Wu on new classes of drugs in the pipeline was extremely interesting, created some anticipation toward the future and sparked a lot of inquiries.
Thanks to InterMune for providing food and refreshments.
The meeting concluded with the annual Holiday Party that enticed the pallets of members with the wide variety of favorite recipies, tasteful creations from other members, and an enjoyable time of holiday comradery and conversational cheer.
On January 11, 2006, Shirley Allen, MSEdRD CD-N who is a Diabetes Program Dietitian at UCONN will present "Healthy Diet for Coping with Hepatitis C" and answer group questions.

On February 8, 2005, Zoanne Vollono, APRN will discuss "The Emotional Ups and Downs of Living with Hepatitis C".
March 8, 2006 will bring a Pharmacist & RN Team from Professional Home Care Services to speak on their Hep C Program and answer group questions on medications.
On April 12, 2006, Dr. David Hull will discuss Liver Transplantation.
June 14, 2006 will be a roundtable discussion, including updating the group on the Support Groups' Annual LiverFest '06 Summer Picnic.
Prospects for other 2006 meetings:
A Naturopathic Doctor, a Massage Therapist, Connecticut Attorneys and a medical presentation on HIV/HCV co-infection issues.
