Confidential public hepatitis C Connecticut support group for diagnosed, family, friends, interested individuals and those with other liver maladies. Regular meetings are the second Wednesday from 7-9pm at UConn Health Center, Research Building, Room EG103.
Next Meeting
October 12th will begin with introduction of a regular educational portion of the meetings. Dr. Wu will be introducing Dr. Pavan Manchi, who has agreed to moderate the educational sessions; bring your ideas for educational topic to the meeting. On the twelveth, Dr. Manchi will give a short update on UConn trials. We will later be showing a film presentation "Hep-C, Education and Instruction for Everyday Life." plus discuss the "Iron Study" Clinical Trial, Iron HFE mutations of genes in chronic Hep-C.
Future Meetings
November 9th- Herbert Bronkovsky, M.D has offered to make a presentation about "clinical trials" to the support group; check back to see more details.
On December 14th, Dr. George Wu will speak on new classes of drugs in the pipeline, and Dr. Raina will discuss new trials at UCONN. The annual HOLIDAY PARTY will follow.
